Our mission is to make high-quality aquatic instruction accessible to everyone\u2014regardless of age, economic background, or physical ability. We are dedicated to cultivating a deep love and respect for the water while ensuring that every swimmer feels safe, supported, and capable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Making Swimming Accessible: Step Into Swim Sponsorship<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We believe that financial constraints should never stand in the way of learning how to swim. Through our proud partnership with the <strong>Step Into Swim<\/strong> initiative, we receive grants that allow us to provide low-cost, heavily discounted swim lessons to families in need. This sponsorship directly supports our goal of creating a safer community by reducing water-related risks and putting essential water competency skills within reach for all children.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Inclusion on the Deck: The Long Island Stingrays<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Swimming is a sport for everyone, and our dedication to inclusion shines brightest through our coaching of the <strong><u><strong>Long Island Stingrays Special Olympics Team<\/strong><\/u><\/strong>. We provide specialized, adaptive training to athletes with intellectual and physical disabilities, helping them build competitive strength, learn teamwork, and experience the joy of racing. The Stingrays represent the very heart of our school: determination, community spirit, and the belief that there are no limits to what you can achieve in the water.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Meet Our Owner: Coach Ray Willie<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Coach Ray Willie<\/strong> is the founder and driving force behind <strong>Long Island Premiere Swim School<\/strong>. A former 14-time All-American swimmer and Hall of Fame inductee for the University at Buffalo, Ray has dedicated over three decades to coaching swimming excellence on Long Island.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Elite Pedigree:<\/strong> He has served as a head coach for prominent regional clubs and varsity teams, developing multiple Olympic Trial, National, and Sectional qualifiers.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Local Educator:<\/strong> Off the pool deck, Ray is a dedicated local high school mathematics teacher with a master&#8217;s degree from Stony Brook University.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>A Mission for All:<\/strong> Ray\u2019s true passion is applying his elite athletic and educational experience to swimmers of all backgrounds\u2014guiding everyone from infants learning water safety to competitive athletes and swimmers with special needs.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Our Passion for the Water At Long Island Premiere Swim School, we believe swimming is one of the most vital skills a person can learn.
